A very special limited release, this whisky is of rare depth and structure.

Rosevears Single Malt Whisky, Double Cask, is handcrafted from 100% local malted barley and pure Tasmanian water. It begins with maturation in smaller American oak Jack Daniel’s Select casks, before being elegantly finished in larger Heaven Hill Bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength 63.3% ABV.

The result is a single malt whisky that’s powerful yet poised, with a richness that unfolds long after the glass is set down. An oak-driven journey of warmth, spice and impeccably balanced sweetness.

With an in-house grain-to-glass approach, we only source our grains from Tasmania and our Rosevears whisky is milled, mashed, distilled and aged all onsite at Turner Stillhouse.

Tasting Notes

Colour
Rich Amberwood and Maple, with copper tones and a honeyed edge, this whisky looks luxurious and inviting.

Nose
Generous and giving, you’ll discover complex waves of vanilla, caramelised brown sugar and honeycomb, with layers of toasted oak, macerated Christmas fruit, panettone and baked apple, with hints of tobacco.

Palate
At cask strength, it’s syrupy and full-bodied, yet silky. An explosion of flavour and complexity unfolds, with dark, rich honey notes, stewed fruit and rich spice.

Finish
Exceptionally long and evolving, with an initial honey sweetness. As the sweetness fades, the warming spice, gentle tannins and charred oak linger, echoing the second maturation.

Glencairns Whisky Glass

Perfected for ease of drinking whilst capturing the all-important whisky aromas and colour, our Glencairn glass is beautifuly etched with Rosevears on one side and our Turner Stillhouse seal on the other.

Twelve months ago, we poured our Single Malt for the very first time — and this was the response.A moment from our launch night that’s stayed with us.Since then, it’s been poured across the bar, shared in tasting flights, and opened in homes well beyond the Tamar Valley. But it all started here — with that first glass.
