A very special limited release Tasmanian Single Malt Whisky, matured entirely in a single cask of 80-year-old Australian ex Apera oak.

Having previously held Australian fortified wine for eight decades, this is an extremely rare, rich, deeply expressive and fruit-forward whisky, shaped by the intensity of the cask.

Limited to only 80 bottles.

Includes gift box.

With an in-house grain-to-glass approach, we only source our grains from Tasmania and our Rosevears whisky is milled, mashed, distilled and aged all onsite at Turner Stillhouse.

Tasting Notes

Colour
Deep, dark amber with rich mahogany highlights hinting towards a generous cask influence.

Nose
The aroma opens with the immediate richness of dried fruits – raisins, sultanas, dates and dark cherries; this is followed by a notion of deep dark sweetness, think treacle and black walnut liqueur.

Palate
Generous and luxuriously textured. The initial sip delivers concentrated flavours of dates and raisins, fruitcake and dark caramel. These sweeter notes are balanced by roasted nuts and warm baking spices and black tea, with an emerging gentle dryness.

Finish
Long and warming. Dried fruit, roasted nuts, slightly charred oak. The sweetness gradually fades into a pleasantly dry nutty finish. A beautifully balanced and memorable whisky.

Glencairns Whisky Glass

Perfected for ease of drinking whilst capturing the all-important whisky aromas and colour, our Glencairn glass is beautifuly etched with Rosevears on one side and our Turner Stillhouse seal on the other.
